Spees Design-Build (SDB) is seeking a full-time BIM Manager to join our team in Bremerton, WA.
SDB is a design-build firm that specializes in providing architecture, engineering, and project management consulting services. We are a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business with offices in the Pacific Northwest and in the Southeast. Remote work is also an option for certain roles. The BIM Manager will be part of the dynamic A/E Design team within SDB’s Design-Bid-Build operations. This team is primarily involved in the design of various project types within the Veterans Affairs Medical Center systems throughout the Western United States. The BIM Manager’s role is to understand and communicate how BIM will affect project workflows, deliverables, and project management throughout SDB. The primary responsibility is to manage and coordinate BIM standards development, implementation, and enforcement on all related BIM projects, files, and models. This will include the development of a work plan/roadmap for the development, implementation, and quality assurance checks needed for full BIM integration with SDB projects.

Desired Qualifications:
- 7+ years of proven experience as a BIM Manager or similar role within the AEC industry with a consulting engineering or architectural firm
- Must have extensive knowledge of Autodesk Cloud, Revit and AutoCAD and be proficient in all aspects of BIM with Revit from projects setup to family creation to template management
- Experience working with federal projects is preferred
- Multi-discipline coordination experience (structural, electrical, telecom, etc.) is required
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing BIM standards and protocols
- Oversee the use of BIM/Revit software firm-wide, including configuring, maintaining, and supporting all BIM installations as well as analyzing and solving BIM user issues. Provide end-user training, support, and leadership
- Support project start-up coordination, helping teams develop strategies for effective delivery of quality documents, and set up each project, thereby ensuring that each one is set up correctly
- Support each project team by (1) managing and creating families and templates, (2) creating and enforcing standards, and (3) evaluating project models. Train and mentor team members on BIM software and best practices
- Provide end-user training, support, and leadership
- Coordinate with IT manager for the selection of BIM software products, including but not limited to licensing compliance, incorporating new version releases, maintaining legacy software, and customizing software for specific firm needs
- Manage the implementation of supporting software and plug-ins for BIM
- Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies and industry trends. Evaluate new BIM-related software and technologies
- Troubleshoot and resolve BIM-related issues
- Stay informed on best practices for use of Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM
- Stay informed on other BIM-related software products and their interaction with Revit
- Responsible for creation and maintenance of the template files to assure standards
- Provide support for plotting and electronic file submissions
- Automate routines in BIM to support standards and productivity
- Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards of all shop drawings produced
- Train and oversee the day-to-day activities of BIM users to ensure BIM standards are maintained in the creation of BIM models
- Sitting at a desk and working on a computer for prolonged periods of time
- Able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Infrequent travel may be required

- Salary Range is $60k to $110k DOE
- 40-hour work week
